Guardian is the largest provider of EMT and Paramedic training in Idaho and the inland northwest. Our programs focus on the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in an EMS career and successfully pass the National Registry Exam for EMTs.

The Accelerated EMT course can be completed in less than four weeks. The Accelerated Paramedic program (including internship) can be completed in approximately 6-8 months.  Evening schedules are also available for both programs.

EMTs earn between $21,682 and $37,251. Paramedics earn between $28,217 and $44,470. With benefits, average total income equals $53,658. Earnings shown here do not include mandatory or optional overtime.

Typical work weeks run around 48 – 52 hours with hours over 40, paid at time and a half. Benefits may include Social Security contributions, 401K, disability, healthcare, pension and paid time off.

The US Department of Labor Statistics anticipates better than average job growth in the Emergency Medical Services, with an approximate increase in positions of 28% between 2008 and 2018.
